Ruscus, or butcher's broom, is pretty much bullet proof indoors. Lovely thick leaves that don't get damaged easily, and it does well in lower light conditions. Perfect for living rooms and offices alike - as a decorative festive tree for your table or desk at work.

For optimum growth keep this plant in a spot near a window where it can get bright light all day, however, it will do well even in bright fluorescent office lighting, as long as it's bright enough. If tendrils start growing too long that's a signal the plant require a spot with more light. In that case cut away the extra growth and keep the plant as is. If in such a spot it might need to be circulated to a verandah for a month or so after 4-5 month in non-ideal light.
