Aloe black gem - like other aloes can be kept indoors provided it gets bright indirect light from a window. Would be happiest in bright light, maybe a bit of late afternoon dappled sunlight, but even the bright fluorescent light of an office will keep them very happy.

Water the plant only when the soil mix has dried out.
